Get Ready for my New Election Podcast
The first episode of "Chasing the Vote" will be out next week
The candidates are set, and you know the big issues. Now it's time to look beyond the polls and hear from voters in the key battleground states, and I’m excited to share the trailer for a new podcast series that I’ve been working on: Chasing the Vote.
Earlier this year I did a similar project for The Wall Street Journal called Chasing the Base that focused on the GOP nominating contest. I’ve been doing a lot of travel to swing states for this next series, which will explore big questions in the contest between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala.
You’ll hear from retirees in Arizona, business owners in Wisconsin, and students who lived through campus protests over the conflict in Gaza. We'll also talk about immigration, voting rights, and abortion.
The best way to get the podcast is to subscribe to “What’s News,” which is the WSJ’s main podcast for a quick news digest. Chasing the Vote will go out in that show’s feed on weekends. (I will also send out each episode here.)
The first episode will be out next weekend. I hope everyone has had a restful Labor Day and is ready for the unofficial start of autumn!
THE QUESTION: I’m always interested in media diets. What podcasts do you listen to?

THE LAST ANSWER: The last U.S. president to be nominated at a convention in Chicago was Bill Clinton in 1996.
